We are thrilled to announce that thanks to the progress in the digitisation of Victorian periodicals, we are now able to present - for the very first time! - selected articles from that popular weekly magazine Allan's Miscellany. Shortly after its launch in 1839, the magazine rose to fame as a consequence of the romantic affair of the Mystery Maiden, which gripped the imagination of the reading public. On the following pages you can find detailed information about the magazine and its creators.
